Yes plenty of scam ads on Facebook. The ones I saw for this stuff were £9.95. I’ve got five bottles from AliExpress for just under £12. Cleared customs this morning. Got to be worth a punt.

Yesterday I discovered my Westco battery was reading 12 volts or lower on our battery tester (it was last charged 10 months or so ago from memory).
Tried charging it, charger reported a fault.
Tried again, charger reported a fault.
Tried again, and again the charger reported the battery was faulty.
Fourth time lucky? No, the charger reported the battery was faulty.
Fifth time lucky? Yes! The battery charged to full capacity.

Considering it must be between 6-7 years old by now and this is the first time it’s shown any problem charging, it’s doing well.

Bullit is 20 years old next month

She’s always had the recommended Panasonic Battery BUT they’ve gone diedo after 6-7 years…no matter how much mileage or re-charging went on

So…word to the wise…your battery maybe a bit poorly :handshake:

I would keep to establish brands than try pop up products :+1:

Sticking to established brands is OK up to a point but it’s often possible to find cheaper options that are as good or sometimes better.

I love Autoglym’s Super Resin Polish, Paint Renovator and Fast Glass. However I’ve found that Milton Sterilising Fluid does a much better job than their Soft Top Cleaner.

Sometimes a well known branding on a product doesn’t mean a quality product. I have a Panasonic TV that I bought because they had a reputation for top line products. Turns out it’s made by Vestel in Turkey. The HiSense and Polaroid TVs in the house knock spots off the Panasonic.

Original Panasonic battery on my ND lasted nearly 10 years but recently gave up the ghost. Replaced with a Yuasa 5000 series from Tayna Batteries. Great price and ordered 16.30, delivered 12.30 next day. Well packaged and great service.

Yes, but on the flip side I’ve seen a few batteries do this in the past and then go on working for a few more years so, just have to hope

Yes, great service we’ve used them many times before, though for my MX-5 I’d always go the original or westco route because of the height dimensions

Yuasa replacement that I got was the same size as the original Panasonic. Maybe not the case for anything other than an ND.

Cleaning it before it goes to the garage tomorrow for all oil changes and a check over pre road trip in a couple of weeks.

Where you off to?

Cleaned and rinsed with de-ionised water, works a treat and leaves no marks.

Italy. From home in Aberdeenshire to Lake Garda. About 1400 miles each way. Can’t wait!

Thats a lot of de ionised water. Never heard of that before. Do you use a watering can?

Best wishes and enjoy, I’m sure it’ll be great.
Just back from the Moray coast in Scotland…very beautiful especially in the recent great weather. 250+ miles from Cairnryan Ferry Port, each way.
We’re off to Spain/Portugal soon, via Rosslare to Bilbao ferry.
27 hour ferry crossing wasn’t great last time, and the “5” was exposed on the deck of Brittany Ferrie’s “Connamara”.
On the "Salamanca"this time , one of 2 new ships on this route. Hope the conditions in the Bay of Biscay are better this time.
Good luck

Yes good luck to you too mate. I really don’t enjoy ferrys! You weren’t that far along the coast from me really. I’m a few miles from Banff.

I have a tank in my garden which is filled with de-ionised water made using a domestic RO unit that can be bought for about £120 or so.
