Just fly eye mesh… Watched a few YouTube videos… bought some from eBay and had a go… went on better than expected… took a few goes to start with but there was loads of mesh (comes as a roll) clean lense, thoroughly… apply the adhesive mesh, no need to cut to shape first, heat to fit then essentially trim off the excess, carefully…
Then did the high level too, finished that off with some trim stripe to tidy up the top then left a little bit proud to slightly tuck in underneath with a vinyl applicator
Just reproofed my hood with Renovo. Went on nicely and seems to have reduced patches where starting to fade.
Gave him his first wash, the good is that he looks great, the bad is that I’m now aware of all the tiny paint imperfections

Gave mine a clean after returning from Bamburgh, ready for inspection by @PaleRider tomorrow ![]()

Good lad
I might even bring my monocle along just for good measure like ![]()
Oh and a white cotton glove to check ya tail pipe
More what are you going to do rather than what have you…
Is there any reason the OEM 17" ND alloys can’t be fitted to an ND that currently has 16" alloys?
Apart from the brake sizes, larger on the 2ltr models, mine is a 1.5 with smaller brakes I can only see them as a straightforward fit?
Yes, no problem - it’s a straightforward swap. Although FWIW I really enjoy the ND on the smaller, lighter wheels ![]()
That looks lovely, I hope you enjoy your ND as much as you did your NC.
Im going to have to give mine a good scrub up when i get home from holiday as it’s due in to the body shop on Monday.
Having been inspired by the picture of the new red seat belts fitted by PuffyPinkPanda, I thought they would be just the job to set off my 2016 ND Icon.
The link to the Airbag Team was much appreciated but a bit too far to travel just to look at getting the correct shade of red I wanted. A local search for the West Midlands came up with Vibe Belts. (https://www.vibebelts.co.uk). Only 50 minutes’ drive and the promise of a quick turnaround
Belts removed yesterday afternoon and an appointment made for 11.30 a.m this morning. Although we arrived slightly late due to local road works in the area, Callum couldn’t have been more helpful. Colour chosen, we asked: How long?’ ‘I can do them in 30 minutes if you want to wait.’
Unbelievable service for a quality job! Back on the road by 12.30 p.m. and the belts refitted this afternoon. Very happy bunny!
Terrific! I must admit, those red seat belts caught my eye, too ![]()
They also appear to be cheaper than the other site
Looks great
… in addition, my belts on my NC1 are tired and even with cleaning, fail to return when released so rather than spend a fortune on original belts, seems a great opportunity to do this now.
DIY air con regasssed. Not that the prht stays up much . It is very pleasant if stuck in traffic or something. ![]()
Yes could have done with that myself lately. Has anyone ever retro fitted air con to an NC? Obviously could well be cost prohibitive even if you could get the parts.
That looks fantastic Paul, proper rocket red! Great that you found somewhere nearby.
I took a risk ordering my belt colour online!
It does totally fix the retraction problem. Because they’re brand new and clean obviously…
