well very good if you start getting problems with the roof saying on the dash “Roof malfunction” this mainly happens when its not been used for some time then gets more frequently then you can fix it by fitting the window dongle in the drivers door …glad it all went well… ![]()
Cheers mate, as a matter of interest what do you think of the window dongle - price, ease of fitting & functionality.
I’m always concerned about removing door cards and think £200 is a bit on the high side.
Hi Ryan
Welcome to the oc and hope you manage to get your pics on love to see your car and hard work🙂
Thats expensive mlsdistribution.com sell it for around £119.00 + shipping from the U.K when I bought mine I got it from the United States
as a complete kit on a black friday sale all 3 parts for under £200. then sent to my address in Canada 10$ shipping then sent to the U.K as a gift No tax only shipping another $23.00 so it was a good deal at the time…
MLS is where I got the roof controller and ACC cable. Currently window controller is £199 plus postage so you got a cracking deal
Ok I have just updated my page
Just show’s you in 5 years how much the price has gone up thats a little expensive … ![]()
My RF has had the odd lumpy idle lately, so had a cheeky squirt of CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner.
Was surprised at the improvement generally. Either it’s running a lot smoother or I’m a sucker for the placebo effect.
I’ve just fitted the same👍
Hah! Me too!
would have fitted my new Kenwood head unit but sadly have the wrong harness…grrrr
Finished off the steering wheel I repainted last week with a gloss black Mazda badge. Now all I need to do is fit it into the car and it should make the interior look much better and a bit more modern.
Looks a bit mean and purposeful, good job👍
Had some new tyres fitted and fitted a new battery earlier in the week. Also resolved (I hope) Android Auto connection in the ND, that was always my new phone, I’m fully back to using my old phone for now.
I am SO HAPPY! Just one stuck bolt out of the 8 and thankfully it was the bolt to the rear of the lower arm so easy enough to get in with a reciprocating saw (once I got the right blade). Car has only done 33k miles, but is still 16 years old. Feel like I’ve cheated the traumatic experience many others have had. Will tackle the rear arms next summer.
Hope to see you there ![]()
Beautiful!
