Nice brings it all together plus, gotta be worth an extra 10bhp ![]()
Thanks Mark , I think so but wasn’t sure if I had gone to far .. 20bhp surely lol
Eibachs fitted to my ND launch edition today. Work completed by Brian BC Motorsport, first time visiting these guys and very happy so far. Have a few weeks to let them settle before going back to fine tune geometry - after and before below
Looks like they did an aerial / fuel cap swop at the same time ?![]()
Treated my 45k mile '09 NC to fresh lube all round. Red Line products for the LSD and gearbox and Millers in the sump. Replaced the DOT 4 in the brake system as well. Pre-Mix FL22 coolant was replaced last year when a Moroso tank and silicone hoses were installed.
Good spot. I just mirrored one of the pics to make it more of a like for like as they were opposites
The change in ride height very clear.
Not my taste, but if I saw you on the road it would make me smile (and wave!) as that’s such fun colour scheme ![]()
Was it hard to do ?
Looked for this as well, but did not have the nerve
Ordered mine yesterday ![]()
First job after purchase for me is always get it clean.esp inside.
Replaced gear knob that kept falling off.
Not sure what to do with the car next. It’s a base 1.8 NC1. I like it’s basic charm. Maybe an after market android head unit mostly for DAB radio. Maybe lowering springs.
What would you do?
I think nc1’s always need lowering.
And some fog lights if not yet fitted, they finish the front end nicely.
Then a silver boot rack with a spare wheel on it when you go away…
If you just bought it, I would recommend disconnecting the battery for a bit, to reset your ECU so that it learns your driving style and forgets the previous owner’s…
Make sure you get the code for the radio before doing that. Mind, mine was not needed when I did reconnect the battery. But this ECU reset did improve my fuel consumption…
Not what I did to my 5, but what Evans bodyshop in Grange-over-Sands did over the last 4 weeks.
Nugget needed a mid-life nip and tuck after 4 years with me.
Front bumper, bonnet, rear wing, rear bumper, and roof cover, all touched up, repainted, and blanded into their respective adjacent panels; air-con re-gased; underbody surface rust removed and treated (Nugget was already undersealed from new); new number plates; and full alloy wheels refurb.
One of Nugget’s grand-parents was there for some serious welding when I collected him,
I am much poorer now, but this little car deserves all the attention it received.
The smiles on people’s faces as we drive past are heartwarming…
What’s the going rate for an air con test and regas?
Kwikfit do a free aircon test and if you input your reg they give you a regas price if needed. My ND2 would cost approx £138.
ATS will do the more modern re-gas for around £100.
Does depend which gas your system uses. But I recently had an aircon re-gas for my MX-5 NC done at Protyre (they’re a small chain), which cost me £47. They did a good job, too! https://www.protyre.co.uk/aircon
