Ha!
Pair of JVCs as sold by MX5 Parts but at a bargain £23 off Amazon…
Slotted straight in and sound pretty good. Will be adding sound deadening to doors at a later date.

Swore at the sat-nav when I couldn’t find the meet-up point for the NEM Area event today…
Either it, or I’m useless with these things, but never mind…!
Rob
they get good reviews I believe? Well done getting a bargain
Barrie
Well, they’re certainly night and day over the originals - decent sound, keep the original trim intact and a bargain to boot!
Washed her, then it started raining
Best time to wash, no need to rinse!
If it’s the Mazda sat nav you’re excused. It’s pants. I use our Garmin instead.
Yes, it’s the Mazda sat-nav…! I’ve recommissioned my trusty old TomTom Smart 20… charged it and done the free update because it’s not been used in about 6 years…! But at least it’s easy to use…!
I washed mine over the weekend and tried a new drying towel I bought. (I got it from an advert on Instagram)
H2Zero Twisted Loop Dual Drying Towel 1400gsm 55 x 90cm | EZ Car Care UK
I must say it is absolutely brilliant. Wash the car and this removes ALL water in less than a minute and laves no residue or streaks.
If you get one, you will get lots more follow up e-mails, so you need to unsubscribe, otherwise you will get a LOT. other than this the product was great and definitely recommended over a regular leather or fabric equivalent. The whole car was dried and the towel was still only mildly moist…
Fitted a digital clock above the mirror. There was already a reversing aid display fitted, so just stuck it to the front of that as I don’t use it, ( i have a reversing camera view on my stereo head unit) and can still hear the warning beeps.
Wired it in to the stereo power feeds so it only illuminates when ignition is on.
Single stage paint correction and protection from https://reviveyourride.co.uk/ very pleased with the outcome.
Took the car to the Northampton club meet very enjoyable
Like the clock where did you get that from may i ask…….
It was just a little cheapy off e-bay. I paid £5.64! e.g. LINK
3 wire connections:
Ground / black
Permanent live ( Keeps the clock going in the background)
Ignition live ( Illuminates the LED’s with Ign on)
I just extended the cables down the A pillar and tapped into the Red & Yellow power supply for the Stereo which is pre-fused.
It also gives a voltage reading if required by pressing a button.
Fitted Roadie’s Acrylic wind blocker. Really happy with the results and it’s better than the Mazda full width mesh one which I’ve had for a year. At last, I can see rearwards! Thanks Paul - great quality and delivery.
I may now fabricate some hoop inserts in the same vein as Barrie.
Also changed the gearbox oil and treated the engine to a service.
Hey Mick! Where did you get the rear wing from? I need to get one like that
thank you just order one …
Forgot to post pictures of Valkyrja’s new stopping thingmyjiggers
Front ones weren’t too horrendous but the back ones were pretty rusted up. After some Mallety-type graft, a lick of calliper paint and one or two expletives, she’s all pretty and stoppy again with her EBCs Green Stuff pads and slotted discs bought from DemonTweaks
My ND had its 5 year MOT at the same mot station as last year - where the printout suggests the brakes are much better than last year.
Not sure if this is down to the new Rodders pads I fitted for a trackday or if the machine can vary its readings by this much down to other factors…
There’s no other change to the car since last year other than it must be carrying more fuel as it’s 20kg heavier than last year and it was the same mot tester who didn’t look to have put on that much weight…
