Thanks for highlighting this, it made me realise I had done exactly the same, now rectified
I don’t know what I’ve done to my car today. But I do know that I’ve touched something on my iPad and it’s all gone up the wall …
Do you mean your iPad or your Multi Function Display on your car? And in what way has it gone up the wall?
I think that if you click the down arrow at the bottom of the list it will take you to a page where you can delete them.
Will try that… Thanks. And if I remember correctly. You have been helpful to me on several past occasions Ralph ! Thanks Ray in Essex .
Yep, It Worked Thanks. Not straight forward but it can be done via that route … It also cured another problem I had been experiencing. ( unrelated ) But in looking at your suggestion. I come across another little bugging problem, Thanks Best regards from Ray in Essex….
Got round to taking these out to dry them out. Seals all look OK so hoping that once they’ve dried out and been put back in properly problem should be solved. Anyone else had the same issue?
Yesterday I took the PHRT half down and gave all the seals some treatment (including doors, bonnet and boot) with this. They’ve come up like brand new. At the same time I was able to observe how parking the car with the nose up can lead to the little hoses that drip into the gutter under the roof can miss, leading to small leaks inside the car.
well wiper jets were almost useless, so removed the scuttle panels, wiper arms etc and got the nozzles out .after much gentle blowing with an airline and using a split pin to push on the ball and spring cleared the jets, then undoing the pipework blew through them all, and got out some disgusting slime!
popped it all back together, and works fine, but could do with some better spraying nozzles really.
there are some that fit from other mazdas i believe.? anybody point me in the right direction for them.
I used the ford washer jets (fan pattern style) fit and work fine.
Gave it a thorough clean with a view to sealing scuttle grommets this afternoon, and it bloody rained
Rain stopped, so dried car off again, and replaced both scuttle grommets and cover clips with some sealant for good measure. Both clips had rubber gaskets intact, but easily fell apart after removal. Didn’t plan on taking both wipers off, but was an easy job overall, and one I’m glad has been done. Better to do a proactive job than one to fix a serious issue
In preparation for the boot sound deadening work while the boot interior trim was out I decided to look at the rust areas behind the bumper reinforcement. Bit disappointed as they were not too bad for a 16 year old vehicle. Rust converter plus zinc primer and a coat of black on both the body and the reinforcement should see these bits at least last for a few years. Biggest problem were the wheelarch fixings to the bumper but with a good soak in my special brew releasing fluid they came apart and have been refitted with a good coating of grease. Now on to the sound deadening if it warms up!
I’ve been posting some pics of work I’ve been doing over the past few months - finished for now and pretty happy with the results. Car has done 90k miles (56k of those by us since we got it just over 5 years ago). Work covered -
Clean, paint and coat as much of the undercarriage/wheel wells as possible (removing surface rust where necessary).
Replace front hub/bearings and clean up knuckles, clean and paint dust guards.
Clean and service brakes.
New Meisterr ZetaCRD suspension fitted (including full alignment).
Rear bumper off and clean up/repaint rear mounting panel.
Clean up, rub down, paint/laquer and ceramic coat wheels.
Re-proof the soft top.
I was pleasantly surprised how solid the car was underneath and how easily the hardware came apart so pretty good all round. Might look at getting new exhaust but the car is now ready for lots more action.
Excellent job👍
Looks great… love that colour…
Do love these wheels…car looks fantatic.
Cheers - Galaxy Grey - Looks its best in sunshine when it really shows the metallic flakes.
Wheels are standard 2.0L sport. Been meaning to tidy them up for ages but kept putting it off. Had a few bits of minor kerb damage (previous owner obviously!) but they came out no problem with a 240 grit sanding wheel. Really quite surprised how well they turned out - just hope the finish lasts, though it seems pretty tough - I’ve already used a machine polisher on the inside and on the spokes without issue. I have an ND 30ae as well but just can’t part with the NC. It’s been all over the place in the last 5 years and seems to be holding up pretty well, including being used as an every day driver through a couple of winters and being parked outside until we moved house at the end of 2020, so it now has garage space.
