That look absolutely beautiful
Thanks guys! we were on a cruise and anchored in Dubrovnic. Krka National Park about an hour and a half away so we went! Beautiful place. My wife took her Mum a couple of years ago to let her see. Sadly, Mum in Law now gone.
Barrie
Excellent shots Barrie. Just goes to prove it’s the photographer that “sees” a good picture, not the kit, that will only enhance a good shot or emphasize the faults in a bad one!
We live close by the Leeds - Liverpool canal and often walk the tow path. These are a couple of shots from earlier this week. A reminder of what spring felt like (as we seem to have reverted back to winter :o)
Nice pics, always walking down the canal here.
You say like winter, this was winter not so long ago on our stretch of the Trent & Mersey
Same clouds as well…
But with its HDR yours is a much better camera!
This pic from an hour earlier has less dynamic range and looks OK on a phone
Mapperton today, shame about the variable weather and light, but some of the classic Tudor and soon after scenery is beautiful. Covid restrictions prevented us going inside the Manor and into the church, but the grounds are worthy of days of visits throughout the year as the plants and trees change with the seasons.
The water in the relatively modern swimming pool was rust brown and not the beautiful reflected blue of the sky.
Returning home from a morning ride on my E bike, I stopped for a breather about a mile from home. I looked up and saw my home village of Kingskettle looking particularly photogenic in the morning sun, with the Lomond Hills as a backdrop.
WOW! What a beautiful place to live!
Lucky you!!
Looks extremely pretty
Our favourite ‘local’ beach (about 25mins away) Bigbury, looking out to Burgh Island which you can walk over to at low tide, or get the famous ‘sea tractor’ (pictured bottom) over at high tide, it can be a bit hairy in rough weather though!!
I tried photographing one of our aircraft carriers moored off Bridport today, but it was just a bit too far away for the phone camera. Our eyes were much better! It was definitely one of ours with the two islands.
And no 300mm lens because I’d not taken the big camera as the coast walk was going to ba a bit of a marathon, so just this fuzzy blob, just recognisable, two shots half an hour apart as it swung around the anchor.
No confusing those silhouettes. The one on the right can only be a carrier. The one on the left with its double con. towers and ski-ramp bow can only be the new QEII class.
Took a few photos of the apple blossom that is just starting to bloom in our garden - only used my old Olympus SP350 - quite pleased with these two though!
Been there a few times - fabulous view, as your pic demonstrates. And if you turn around, you’ve got Glenfinnan Viaduct to savour !
