Lovely card too :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It has become a yearly job to make up a card for both dogs (old lady Lab turned 15 in Feb) - after 22 birthdays it is getting difficult to create something!!!

I’m old enough to remember these in service and could see (and hear them) from my bedroom window as a child. This one (55019) was at GCR on a running day a week ago.

Cemeteries and Memorials in Normandy today.
My thanks to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we may live as we do😢

Went there a few years ago.
An incredible place of respect to them all.

Absolutely. They’ll never be forgotten. I visited my Great Grandfather’s grave in Belgium on 11th November 2023., with my two sons. It was one of the most moving experiences of my life. We stood by his grave and played ‘The Last Post’ at 11.00am. He died on 16th April 1918, only months before the end of the war.

Goodness! :exploding_head:

My boy grandson.
He is home now and doing fine as is Mum. I’ve seen the other side to my son ( Dad) that I always knew was there to be tapped.

Many congratulations. Our son was similar when our first grandson arrived. Most unlikely parent imaginable, but turned out he was actually very good at it. They should never be underestimated.

Congratulations, is this the first grandchild?:+1::heart:

Grandchildren are great because you can give them back at the end of the day.
