Get a cardigan on lass and eat those on that bench over there….!
Took Tizzy to the MOT station yesterday and she passed with no advisories!!!
Went and ran a few errands today…on the way back got a double popup light wink from a lovely white NA on Epping New Road. Amazing how friendly the MX-5 community is.
Popped in the stand on Friday and spent a lot of time hearing what a nice example it is!
Quick trip earlier this evening to Seahouses in Northumberland for chips and stop at Budle Bay, just a few miles from our house.

and I guess no. 3 as the odd one out; it is not illegal to park next to an AA phone box? Number plates are nice and clear in the other two though.
I was moving very slowly lol
Not where I’ve been but where I’m going…
After a month of this,
there’s finally some sunshine forecast for this afternoon so hopefully I can get the top down and give The Precious a decent run. Woohoo!
The metric system always makes things seem worse!
13.4mm is only a little over 1/2".

Slumming it with the MG Car Club sprint meet at Curborough.
Some nice TF 160’s on and off track together with some 175 bhp MG Midgets with Zetec conversions.
Lovely afternoon run - Corbridge for lunch then up A68 to Earlston in Scottish Borders
and across to Coldstream and back home. Couple of pics just off A68 near Otterburn.
Just back from the Car Club Day at Prescott Hill Climb. A very good day out! The sun even made an appearance by the afternoon
A697 coming back? Is that a decent run? I’ve got family up there and stay around Ponteland.
Hi. We stay just south of Berwick so we were only on the A697 for a short time. I do use that road quite a bit though. It’s a much better option than the A1. I would say the best bits of the A697 are from its junction with the A68 - way north of Coldstream, right down to the crossroad junction with the B6341 that goes from Alnwick across to Rothbury and beyond. A nice run from Ponteland would be to go over towards Corbridge then up the A68, across the border at Carter Bar and on to St Boswells in the Scottish Borders. From there, the A699 to Kelso, via Maxton (this is a really fun road if it’s reasonably quiet). From Kelso, the A698 to Coldstream and down the A697 to the Rothbury turnoff (B6341 as mentioned). Use the B6341 to Otterburn on the A696 and then south back to Ponteland. About 156 miles I reckon. A wide variety of roads from good A roads to small twist B roads and great scenery all the way. Plenty of decent places to stop too - Corbridge, Jedburgh, Kelso, Rothbury, etc. Not far from the likes of Alnwick either.
Now that’s what I call a comprehensive reply!
I took the Penrith to Corbridge route the other week. Had a coffee at the summit and a police driver training car hurtled past. They know the fun routes.
