Love the positivity
Car treasure hunt today with the Borders Vintage Automobile Club in the Scottish Borders. Good afternoon run with a bit of brain exercise to work out the route and come up with the answers to the many clues. Guess what - we got the winner’s trophy in our NC (by half a mark)! Chalk that up for the MX5 Owners Club.
Drove roof down from Hampshire to a campsite at Orton in Cumbria on Saturday - lovely weather. Sadly that all changed yesterday and the tent got waterlogged, so an early departure necessitated. 285 miles non stop arrived home 00.30, not bad for a fully loaded up 22 year old car. Tent drying day today!
Had to go out for some supplies so went the long way round over the moors not much sun but still great fun
Orford Castle and Aldeburgh for fish and chips. No queue at 12.15. If you have ever been, you will know that’s unheard of!
We were there a couple of weeks ago, best fish and chips in the world.
Sorry to be prosaic and domestic after all the lovely pics above - but hey, it’s a great way to drive to the shop and the bends on the backroads home - awesome!!
North Yorkshire coast across to Trough of Bowland with Mad Malc for a picnic. Fish & chips at Murgatroyd’s near Leeds/Bradford Airport en-route home.
Yes. I also take my Miata shopping. It is amazing how much the boot holds!

That shopping trolley looks dangerously close to your paintwork!
That first photo gave me palpitations…
