Yes…been there, secret alignment figures from someone that knows.
Four days ago…
The rack has been tested through the French Motorway, the twisty Alps, the Italian bumpy roads and greek potholes and I can vouch that the whole trunk would come off before those suction pads loose pressure.
You forgot to pack a razor🙂That rack is impressive given your road test. I’ve an option on the usual sort of rack but this looks worth a serious gander. Link please?
Ever since buying my MX5 early last year, I’ve been dreaming of doing a proper road trip with my mates who are also into cars. Finally got a chance this past weekend, taking a 3 day trip up through Wales and back down the coast.
Was genuinely one of the most incredible things I’ve ever done; sunset drive through the valleys, super remote mountainside routes, photo op at the top of a dam. Got to see Rali Ceredigion on top of all that!
Left me very thankful and just buzzing to do more similar trips. Any recommendations on what should be next!?
Sounds a great few days. And lovely pics. Complete with a personal “chase car” to carry your luggage?
Haha, yup. Lucky enough to have both my cars (the Fiesta) along for the trip, as my mate is without one atm. I definitely had the best of the two given the amazing weather!
Trackday at Bedford Autodrome yesterday…weather was generally kind. Car was brilliant.
Keep seeing pictures on reddit of mx5s next to one of those big off-roaders, so thought I’d take my own:
(Vimoutiers, Normandy)
Google “REVO RACK”
We also found this excellent on road trip ‘22, Ireland to Algarve.
Lovely colour, is it Deep Crystal Blue, is it a mica finish?
Cotswold Airport formerly known as Kemble for a lunch at the AV8, then visit the last remaining RAF Brittania for a photo.
It’s nominally Spring here so when the gales, rain and thunderstorms took a day off today we went for a drive in the countryside. Had a lunch stop at Der Molen, a genuine Dutch windmill built to original specs by Dutch ex-pats.
Then the long way home and a photo op at the The Sacred Monastery of the Holy Archangels, a Greek Orthodox Monastery.
Once more to the East Neuk, stopping at Crail for coffee and (probably) the best cake in Scotland, supplied by our friends at the Harbour Gallery and enjoyed al fresco
This is where I bought the rack. I think mx5 parts now also do them.
