Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Went to learn about some apprenticeships at Mercedes yesterday… Though if I were to be given the opportunity I don’t think I’d take the offer of discounted finance on an A-Class, my MX-5 is far more interesting!!!

Burgh Island for B&B, fascinating hotel full of Art Deco, had to leave our car on the mainland in their secure parking.

Wow, have you just won the lottery?
Just looked at the prices, a 2 night stay costs more than my MX5 did!

Little road trip to blow the cobwebs away, Marsden to Trudoxhill for a few days on the farm and surrounding area. Really the longest trip since fitting the Pioneer CarPlay and it worked great for nav Spotify and even got some WhatsApp messages read and replyed to all via voice … how very modern. Might pop over to cheddar gorge for some cheese in the morning :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lovely, thanks. I can see an expensive break coming :flushed::joy:

Having done loads to the car over the winter and not finding time or the weather to get out and try it out, I decided on Friday to take it to work.
Colleagues thought me mad to appear in wooly hat and roof off, being 4 deg, but I didnt tell them of heated seats and a good heater.
Needless to say the front and rear strut braces seem to have made the car more taught, but then my usual transport to work is 2.3 t of EV , so anything will feel more darty and precise than that tank. Roads were muddy and wet, which allowed me to practise my oppo lock on junctions, unintentionally officer, honest. Also nice to see my new front splitter just fitted in the daylight.

I drove mine across town to Lidl today. Mainly because it is Lidl’s “Alpine week” (or “German week”, as I call it). So I’ve been stocking up on my favourite German foods

20 miles around my local twisties in appalling weather. On my favorite 2miles near Gweek one side of the road was completely under water for about fifteen yards just after a bend. Never seen that before so must have been a one off blockage. Fortunately I was on the opposite side of the road. If I’m ’playing’ on this road I always have a quick look first as it’s through woodland. There was a bit of debris but nothing serious.
Not contemporary, but this is what it looked like before today’s drive. Peeps like a picture😀

Nice to see them still on the road. Seen two the last twelve months. They weren’t bothered with filling the arches back along

They certainly are beautiful cars!
