Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Dog & Partridge inn at the beginning of the Woodhead pass. Highly recommended. I had my wife with me and she likes it there.

Driving in low visibility!

And that’s why driverless cars are some way off is it not? But that’s obviously not a discussion for this topic…

A shame that in a situation where it would be most helpful it isn’t operative.

Only option is to revert to the standard system to drive in low visibility which is to lean forward in the seat so your eyes are six inches further forward. We all do it even though it gives us a stiff neck.

Calculations show that at 60mph this will mean any obstruction will be seen 0.0057 second earlier.

On Sunday, I nipped round the corner to Oulton Park for one of their Mudmaster sessions.

I didn’t take the '5 round though, they let you borrow an old Defender

Some photos from a shoot I organised with all generations of MX-5, thanks to the members from Solent & Wessex who joined on a lovely morning in the New Forest

My step daughter visits North Berwick from Edinburgh and says it’s lovely.

It’s a nice little town with plenty of shops and cafes as well as nice beaches, harbour and boat trips. Couple of castles nearby and the view after climbing up North Berwick Law is worthwhile. East Fortune Air Museum is only a few miles away as well.

The wife and I went for a drive around Charnwood (Leicestershire) in the sunshine, Monday 17th, we had lunch and stopped for a picture on the dam at Cropston reservoir near Bradgate Park.

I spotted a break in the weather up here in Formby, quickly headed to Tesco for some shopping and decided to give Moxie a spin along the coast road towards Southport before turning around and heading home.

Took a trip to Halfords after finishing early. Picked up a trolley jack and a few other bits. Tried to use my club membership but it wasn’t scanning.

On the way back home had my eyes lasered by the cars in front and behind.

Has anyone replaced the rear view mirror for a more modern mirror that is more effective at filtering bright lights?

I was wondering that. Were later NCs fitted with an auto-dimming rearview mirror? It would need a 12v supply if fitted to an earlier one but that’s not difficult.

Just did a quick search. 3.5 and 3.75 had them fitted according to MX5Parts

Just seen that too £134.

Reading up on Miata.net

Some have used mirrors from Toyota

Interesting reading and several options there Thanks.
Easy enough to pick up a switched 12v with a piggy back fuse connector in the LHS footwell fusebox.
