Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Had the tracking etc done at Blink Motorsport after having the “factory sports suspension” (which is actually a dealer fit accessory and they do not do any alignment afterwards).

Have not really driven it yet in a way that will let me notice any difference, but I feel better knowing that it is done properly. Before and after alignment pictures - it was definitely “out”…

That’s pretty conclusive evidence it was ‘out’ amazing that Mazda are happy to just let the car go after fitting new suspension without an alignment?

Glad you’ve got it sorted :+1:

Perfectly “balanced” stance in my view.
Mine’s all over the shop with new OEM springs…don’t know what is going on but the front is too low, and the rear jacked and I’m assured…they did not swap ends accidentally.
However, it’s going to our “WIM” locally to have it assessed and lasered.

About to take a long drive to my support bubble. Shame it’s raining.

little test drive to check the new rear arb bushes and drop links, rear pads, front caliper and drain valves.
All good!

Went to Aldi yesterday. Forgot to get a couple of things…, so may need to go back again today…! Damn!!

Via??? :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha!! A very sunny and scenic route I’d think! :joy:

Travelled under blue skies, on some of the beautiful B roads, that run through The Weald of Kent. Perfect!

Did a roof down loop of the Lakes today. Bit chilly around Ullswater but warmed up later. Didn’t see any MX5s on the road but saw a glimpse of what looked like a nice white NC parked near the side of the lake at Buttermere.

Visited two garden centres, looking for plants and compost. Missus couldn’t find the plants she wanted then looked at the compost, she wants two bags. Deep intake of breath from me, “don’t think they’ll fit in” I say.
I only wanted to drive the 5, first outing for it this year. Not interested in the plants today, luckily we had to detour onto a country road on the way back as the normal route was closed.:+1:

Well, I taxed the 5, brimmed it with V power ( it was on fumes only) for £62.32 and set off for my first proper drive in over 12 months!

Sandsend just up from Whitby. On the way stopped for a cuppa on the North Yorks Moors, served out of an old Citroën H van!

190 miles later, no social contact apart from getting the cup of tea, weather was splendid and top down all the way!!

Yes, this morning was dull, slightly wet and cold compared to the previous 2 days. So I was in two minds whether to even get the car out of the garage! By lunchtime, I thought sod it! Off I went to fill up and had a great afternoon out! :+1:

Celebrated the lifting of restrictions today with taking mum and Valkyrja on a top-down run in the glorious sunshine to Falkland for a coffee. She FINALLY gets it  Look at that smile!!! Also, only in Fife would you see a window being propped open with a sanitary towel :woman_shrugging:
