Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Enjoyed the sunshine and views.

Quick trip to the local shop for essential supplies, I may have strayed over the Lancashire border on the way back, saw a black NA coming the other way, reactions too slow to wave before they had passed.

A drive out with the hardtop off and the roof down, to the birth place of Jane Austen for a 5 mile walk across the countryside.

Went to Bexhill seafront yesterday to combine a gas certification with a drive and found easy parking spaces right by the De La Warr, never had it that easy.

Drove back to Beachy Head and Birling Gap and the area was packed with parked cars like I’ve never seen, a whole group of Asians walked out in front of us completely oblivious, didn’t look at all. Made us laugh more than anything as we’d been threading past cars sticking out for about 400 metres on approach to Birling Gap and another 200-300 metres as we drove away.
Saw one car caught on the verge spinning its wheels as it had grounded between the rear wheels. (good lesson!)

Lots of waves from lots of 5’s, then back via Seaford, Alfriston and Arlington.

Hiding in the corner.
Not today, but Wednesday. North Devon test riding off road motorcycles at Dorothy’s Speed Shop.
A round trip of over 7 hours for me, plus a day on the bikes.
No aches, a little spirited driving, and as a bonus 47mpg.
What a great little car.

To Ashby-de-la-Zouch (I love that name) then Bretby and on to Burton upon Trent.
A shopping spree, well gardening supplies (again) food and paint.
A good excuse to take the back lanes too.

Took the long way round to and from visiting an elderly friend.

When she comes to visit us she always insists I pick her up in the NC and the lid must be hid and the windows down. She has the right ideas!

Cheating a bit, as we ended up going in the Audi. Yorkshire Sculpture Park and thought this was worthy of discussion.

If the lacquer starts peeling that’s going to be an expensive refurb.

Never did check the centre bores on them either  a set of four to each ‘section’, a few sets on there! The top bit is made of upturned whisky glasses! My kind of sculpture

As a plumber it’s tricky to work from mine but I managed three different jobs yesterday. Two to consult and one to change a part. Hailsham, Pevensey, Bexhill sea front. Back home via a friend we haven’t see since lockdowns started.

Drove to work (unusual these days) for a meeting about a meeting, then I took Nugget shopping, via the coastal road.
Beautiful day for it, the local 5’s are coming out of hibernation.

Went shopping in Milton Keynes this afternoon and then popped in to Stony Stratford on the way home. Plenty of parking but could not resist parking next to this nice black car.
