Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Managed to get out for a Jaunt up the Campsie Fells the other day not too far outside Glasgow, great wee drive. (Picture was taken on a mounted camera)

Oddly enough on trip to Tyndrum yesterday ( 180 round miles in perfect weather) I spotted only 1 Mx5 the whole day and it was parked in Callander.
A good few roly-poly “cut 'n shut” soft top “saloons” and a few Porkers, Bimmer Z-things, and one or two Owe-deez though.
Go figure. :man_shrugging:

I’d have killed to have been able to go up that way yesterday, the weather was stunning for it! I imagine half of the country would have probably been up there with you though? Heading up that way in a few weeks hopefully for some bashing around Oban etc

Went to caffeine and machine this morning for the first time since November.

At least 80% of the cars were boxsters or Elise, with a good mix of the other 20%

Found some good company…

Rammed at Tyndrum with Big Bikes…not so much cars. No Motorhomes. Big Police presence.
I went up really early, got there about 11am, had a lunch (packed) and a good walk, left about 1 pm…but going back home I was glad I was early…northbound was totally rammed from Callander upwards.

I thought my drive was good until I saw where you are! It’s been too long and I so need to visit those lovely roads up there again…!

Met some others in Hailsham, chat and a quick run to Pevensey via herstmoncuex. 10 in convoy with some loud exhausts. My first meet and drive out.

Great to see a good few Old Schoolers out and about.

TBH, the sooner the appreciative southern tourist influxes build up, the better.
Scottish tourism is on it’s knees.
We heavily depend on you guys a lot and maybe more than some realise.
Just like The Lakes, Wales, Yorkshire and everywhere else.

We can rebuild…from nothing.

Tourists are welcome back here too, just not their trash. Bin it.

Drove down to Chester last night. Got diverted off the M6 above Preston, but with the roof down and some freshly cut pineapple as my passenger, I didn’t mind the longer journey.

Is that the statue commemorating that great Scotsman Mel Gibson?

Run out in the sunshine this afternoon up through the Trough of Bowland, to Ingleton Falls for a walk and onto the Ribble Head Viaduct for a picnic and take in the view.
