Who is getting a 30AE ?

When I ordered my GT Sport Nav on the 31st March the only one available in Soul Red was in Zeebrugge so sounds like all Mazdas for the UK may come this way. However collected my car last Monday so took around 10 days, not 10 weeks and is one reason I went for the GT Sport Nav and also nearly £6k cheaper. I was told by my dealer if I wanted to order a 30AE when I ordered the GT Sport Nav delivery for the 30AE would be late August???

I know that they’re shipped from Japan to Zeebrugge (and a couple of other European ports) so that Mazda Europe can fit the “end market specific bits” before sent to their final destination, but why on earth are they saying they need 10 weeks, sounds like a load of bovine manure to me.

Received further clarification from the dealer today.

I now have the VIN number.

The car was manufactured on the 12th April and will be shipped from Japan on the 21st May.

The dealer has been given a delivery date to them of the 10th July.

I aim to collect it from them on the 12th July in readiness for a pre-planned drive around the Cotswold’s on the weekend of the 13th July.

That’s the plan anyway!

Manufactered 12th April for collection 12th July  THREE MONTHS!!!  So I guess mine will be the same sort of timescale, or longer!!!

Hi everyone!

I am tempted by the RF but I guess the trade on value for my 1.5 SE-L RF would not be so good.

I guess Anniversary RF will over £29,000 and maybe no 0% finance offers?

At the time I ordered my 30AE the quoted prices were Soft Top - £28095.00 and RF = £29895.00.

The only finance deals being offered by Mazda on certain models only (The 30AE is not one!) were around 4% apr., there weren’t any 0% deals on offer.

Thanks Countryboy!

That’s very useful to know! I’ll do some serious calculating and thinking!

Ofiaich!

They were offering 50% down and balance at 0% x 24 months.

Thanks Mattjk,

I need to get my RF valued!

According to my dealer this offer wasn’t available on the 30ae.

Mine offered zero percent on balance. Was very keen. Think he was incentivised to sell it.

I haven’t ordered but my local dealer said whatever deals are available near the time of delivery would be offered. They expected some kind of 0% deal would be available. It can vary monthly apparently. In Jan I think it was something like 25% down then rest 0%. Feb and I think still at present it was 50% down for get the 0% deal.

Interesting there’s a difference between dealers.

Hi everyone!

Elvington event near York!  Unveiling of 30AE!  I was told by a Mazda representative that it is the same car as shown in the US and in Switzerland!

Not sure how to upload videos!

Were the Mazda people able to give any useful info. regarding delivery dates?  My betting is “No”!

Hi Countryboy,

I was told July for the convertible and September for the RF.

Convertible over£28,000,RF over £29,000

Wait and see!

Ofiaich!

I suggest anyone who has ordered goes back to the dealer and renegotiates. Even if you lose a grand deposit you could save money with that deal.

I work in the motor trade and have worked for both Mazda and another large German manufacturer - it can regularly take 8/10 weeks to cross from Germany/Belgium/Spain etc to the uk - number of factors tbh, its just something the dealer should have accounted for.

That  Coast2coast does come out good for Mx5 prices, shame £1750 goes on if not taking Mazda finance at 4%.

A base spec white 1.5 on finance at £15600 ??
