Who is getting a 30AE ?

the quote I posted is a cash price

You are so right, it only seems on ther rest of the range they add £1750 for cash.

I mentioned " Coast to Coast Cars" offer to my dealer when he came on to update me on my 30AE delivery date (10th July, hopefully), he said that Mazda were looking into the matter as the model was for ā€œretail saleā€ only and with that discount there could be an infringement of agreement, so maybe any dealer involved could lose their Mazda dealership.Ā  Perhaps it should be ā€œbuyer bewareā€ because ā€œif the deal seems too good to be true it’s because it is too good to be trueā€.

if Mazda are trying to dictate the price at which a dealer sells a new car, that is illegal resale price maintenance

The only way to do it legally would be for the dealer to act as an agent for Mazda UK, which is not how the motor trade in new cars works.

aren’t all cars for ā€œretail saleā€?? surely anyone who buys a non 30AE car is also a ā€œretail saleā€?

Don’t tell me, take it up with Mazda, I’m only repeating the gist of a hearsay comment.  It does seem strange though that authorised Mazda dealers aren’t giving discounts for some reason, but a car broker can offer a large discount using UK dealers.  I suppose once Mazda establish who the said ā€œUK dealersā€ are they could refuse to supply them with the 30AE.  Just thinking out loud, so to speak.

There is one on autotrader being offered by sandicliffe leicester with immediate delivery and a little under £300 off the price. So anyone paying full retail and a sept delivery may want to cancel and ring them.

that sounds to me like it’s just to get you in the show room…

my understanding is the dealers can only place an order when they supply the buyers name to Mazda and if discounted could loose the franchise…

my deal is…I pay full price but we will invoice the supplying dealer ££££ for advertising on the race car??

On the Coast to coast site for a 30th edition when you press commit to buy it says supplying dealer Sandcliffe group Nottingham. I didn’t buy btw ?

If people who placed their order in February won’t be getting their cars until early July the chances of buying one off the shelf from any dealer is complete and utter nonsense.

PS:  I’m not having a go at you Mattjk, I know that you’re just reporting what you read.

I agree but if I was in the fortunate position to be buying one, I would be getting on the phone and asking them. Nothing to lose!

Received a call today saying my car will not be here at the beginning of next month, i originally said I MUST have it for the brands race meet where the OC members are coming 22/23 June.

now the question is do I still want it???

My guess is that they’ll give you an amended delivery date of around the 10th July (to dealership), the same as myself and others have been given.

Dealer advised me that my 30AE has left Hiroshima today on the Morning Cecilie.

Currently on its way to Singapore.

Still scheduled to arrive UK dealer 10 July.

You can follow it’s voyage here:

Just found out today that my car won’t be here till end of July.

if anyone want to take my order feel free to shout up…I’m about to cancel it!

who wants a rag top at the end of the summer…ho wait I have plenty

Probably don’t want you breaking the gearbox until they have shifted the other 599.

That’s ā– ā– ā– ā–  Paul, they have made a real ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  of this, end of July is a ā– ā– ā– ā–  take!

one of the main reasons for ordering it was to take it to brands on the 22/23 june when we are racing and many of the OC members are coming to do parade laps etc, I was told originally it would be here!!!

ha well…its not like I don’t have another!

Just out of interest, has anybody any idea what the delivery date for the USA is?
