Mazda are very keen on using Japanese words and phrases in their PR, maybe they should add another describing the honour bestowed on the one who is overseeing this fiasco - “Seppuku”.

Just a thought Paul. How about updating your original list by putting “cancelled” in the LE number column when the buyer drops out? Of course they would need to tells you first.
Will update the list if I hear that someone has actually cancelled. I’ve added Jimmythe1 but been vague with delivery date.
We cancelled our 30AE and today will be collecting a new Z4, sorry to leave but after 3 MX5s we’ve decided to move to the dark side.

I’ve cancelled. Ended up with a Sport Recaro (which I’m very happy with).
I told the supplying dealer yesterday I wanted mine for the OC brands event 22/23 June and said if it wasn’t here I would be cancelling it.
They said they would leave it on order (my take is…if it’s cancelled another dealer could pre order that car) and once it arrives I can either have it or they will then have it for stock.
So as it stands IF it’s something special and floats my boat when it gets here I’ll have it or failing that they can keep it.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Mazda didn’t keep introducing incremental delays in the arrival/delivery dates until we reach the REAL and intended one of end August for September delivery and the new registration period.
Hence the Autumn colour - Orange, if it had been for a genuine summer release it would have surely been in a Summer colour - Yellow!

I am inclined to agree. I would imagine the UK dealers asking for a delivery date to coincide with the new registration period. There’s already been a slight misunderstanding over whether I’d signed all the forms to let them match a car. That’s added a week. I’m fairly relaxed except I am trying to coordinate it with selling my current mk 3 so a rough idea would be good!
“FORMS”?? I only signed one, the Mazda order form, when I put my deposit down in February, no more paperwork to sign since.

To be honest, if the dealer has fouled up it won’t worry me, I’ll just cancel. I’ve got my little ND 1.5L, which I love, I ordered the 30AE on a whim merely because I could and was pretty depressed at the time.

I’m sure there’s a research paper in that. Oddly the form in question was one that allowed mazda to communicate with me by email on offers that might be of interest. I’m already buying a car?
That’s really weird, it’s in the small print of the vehicle order form I signed in February when I placed my order and left my deposit.
Are you sure the first form you signed was the actual vehicle order form?
