Yes and as you say the order form had a part to sign where you confirmed they could contact you by phone text email so Ive no idea why this additional form was needed. Its “all fine” now
I haven’t, but in post #62 - forrest - said that he’d been advised that his car had left Hiroshima on 21st May, the car-carrier was the “Morning Cecilie”. She has recently passed Sri Lanka with an eta of the evening of 9th June at the southern end of the Suez Canal, breakdowns, storms, Somali prirates etc. allowing, which in my estimation would give her an eta of around 24th June at Zeebrugge from whence the cars will be transhipped to the UK. Which is probably why the dealers are currently giving an estimated delivery date of around 10th July.
Yeah…dealer called me today to advise that everything is running to schedule so far. Morning Cecile will be in the Mediterranean next week.
Took the opportunity to tell them not to bother to wash the car …I want to ensure it is done correctly from day one ??
Apologies but I also meant to say that I also received an e mail from Mazda Motors UK today to say that my car has ‘set sail from Japan’ ( it actually left 16 days ago) and that ‘with the purchase of this anniversary model I have joined a highly exclusive new chapter of the MX 5 owners club - a community for MX 5 enthusiasts’
I was then provided with a link to this site ??
My email with pretty pictures confirms my RF order is in production. So not going to see for a good while I suspect. Almost certainly will miss the best of the summer weather. Nice one Mazda!
The “Morning Cecilie” has left the Suez Canal and is heading towards Barcelona (a Mazda Europe delivery port) with an eta 14th June 11:00hrs UTC/13:00hrs LT. Whether or not this is her only port of call I am unable to say.
I wouldn’t be too downhearted guys. With the summer we are having it may be a good thing that your cars might not turn up until late July/August. Some boatman might mistake your bright orange car for a mooring buoy We seem to have the best weather in spring/autumn these days!
After leaving Hiroshima on the 21st May the ‘Morning Cecile’ has finally arrived in Zeebrugge this morning at 02.23 local time. I guess our 30 AE’s will be driven off the ship today and placed in the holding compounds waiting for distribution. The question now is how long will it be before they reach the dealers? I was informed several weeks ago that July 10th was the target date. Please hurry up Mazda…there is some good weather on the way!
