I’ve had mine insured from 1st of December and not even been out in it
Waiting for a dry day , i don’t want to undo all the hard work I did underneath
The weather has been for last few weeks
Yep same here, horrible rain for over a week, now frost in the mornings then rain again.
Meant to SORN mine from the beginning of December, I forgot So maybe just leave it taxed, although past years it’s usually sat in the garage for 3 months unused.
Wow, that is tidy! Where did you get the flooring from?
If you have a spare 15 minutes , this might keep you entertained
A delayed winterisation due to having an op six weeks ago, so I’ve not been allowed to exert myself. However, now feeling more like myself, so got the car on jacks, gave her a bed bath before fitting the cover. I do have a few things in mind for this winter to do, but they can wait until after the new year.
I am not sure that it would be a good idea to leave all the suspension on full droop for the duration. All those lovely rubber bits being left twisted for an extended period of time may not be the best way to treat them. May be a few extra psi in the tyres and a weekly push about may be a better option but there again it is your car not mine.
Have a good recovery and enjoy Christmas.
Or enjoy driving it around!
Oh to have the luxury of a garage !
Nothing to worry about, done this many a year. Rubber is rubber and the suspension only lets everything go so far anyway.
Out of interest why do you do what you do?
A few wee jobs I want to carry out over the winter.
Picked 496 up from Dave at Deepcar Autobodies after some rear wheel arch, rear bumper and sill work, then treated to some protection
Pleased is an understatement great work done and put my mind at ease too!
Brilliant - looks great
Thank you Wardy, still a few thing on the check list to do when the kitty has been topped back up
Also used to be known as Painter Dave on another forum👍
Seen his work before (pictures of) and always had rave reviews, meticulous in his work.
Yes very pleased with his meticulous work Mick. He took the time to send me other pictures of the work done and when I collected it Dave went through all he’d done.
It’ll be going back for some other jobs next year when funds allow.
I’d like to have a go at showing it but unsure of the expectation/ quality of the car to do so.
I saw ‘Ziggy’ (Green Sport Black) at last years National.
Wasn’t perfect and he said he was going to sort out the rust.
Go for it!
Encouraging, thank you Wilier
